Updated: Dec 8, 2020

About This Game Gates Of Nowhere is a Fantasy/Horror adventure for HTC Vive and Oculus. You play as Lother, a Seeker, who is trying to recover the lost knowledge of the Alchemists. You'll be projected in a huge fantasy dungeon filled with awful and dangerous enemies, starting your adventure inside an abandoned dark prison . You must find the way out fighting to survive, solving hard puzzles, trying many different weapons to reveal at the end the mystery behind your journey. The game has four levels, The Awakening, Through the dark, WaterWorks and Inferno, providing at least 6 hours of amazing VR gameplay. You can try 10 different weapons, many items useful to interact with the environment and collect ingredients in order to create alchemical weapons and magic. 7aa9394dea Title: Gates Of NowhereGenre: Action, AdventureDeveloper:SymmetricalPublisher:IndieGalaRelease Date: 6 Jul, 2018 Gates Of Nowhere Free Download [crack] Action game with awful gameplay and great visuals.Weapons that replace part of your arm, hitboxes that are way bigger than character models and janky enemy attack animations make melee combat unbearable. Ranged is a bit better, it's just mediocre.. Pros:- Devs dedication to updating and adding content- The graphics are beautiful!!! Incredible lighting and attention to detail. Ran at max setting on one GTX 1080 ti and i7-7700k with no overclocking......zero issues- Dark grindgy Atmostphere.....like a dungeon should be- Enemy Variations- Multiple weapons- Sword and Board gameplay - Battle is intense / heart pumping.....especially in 3v1 + battles- Controls are easy to learn and you adapt quickly......or die ha - Magic.....multiple spells to cast during battle....attacks, shields, health potions, etc.- Decent length game......I of course wish it was longer but I got more then they stated I would getCons:- Movement speed. I prefer free locomotion over teleport and it is very slow in this game. I wish there was a sprint button- You have to get used to swinging your weapons slower and not going crazy. Some might not like this (reason I list as a con) but I personally think it adds a "virtual weighty feel" to the weapons. Brings out a more natual swing and not just flailing your arms- Enemy AI is not that smart. You can easily see, time, and block their attacks in 1v1 and even 2v1All in all I really enjoyed this game. The game never locked up or game me any issues. The Dungeon Crawler feel was absolutely amazing and I can't express how good it looks graphically. I wish it was a little longer but it was still great. 10/10 would recomment to anyone that likes sword figting, spells, and dungeon crawling type games.. Obviously has a couple of faults like the blurriness and inventory system but once you get past that this is a gem of a game and deserves more love. A game in VR that I can't wait to get home from work to play, that's unusual for me. See video for full review.https:\/\/youtu.be\/HewVXu_sCIoChapter 2 gameplay:https:\/\/youtu.be\/GkA3zC2HXCA. This is probably the closest thing to Dark Souls in VR right now. The atmosphere is pretty much spot on, and it's on another level when it's on VR. This game should have far more positive reviews in my opinion. The game is tough, and at first you might feel like it's just bad controls what are causing you to miss your attacks - but that's not it. You're just not getting your range right. The controls and hit boxes are good, but the game does take some skill, and it took me at least half the first chapter to get the hang of it. By the second chapter I was already accurately blocking attacks with my shield, and countering back. Also note that the harder you swing your arm, the more damage you'll do.There is a weapon-break mechanic that might be annoying to some, but blue flames that restore weapons, and alchemy items are plentiful. Your weapons will break faster if you block attacks with them, or if they get hit throughout fights. The game's main source for length is its difficulty. And if you can't handle losing and having to learn from your mistakes, then forget it.The game has some pretty awesome visuals and maps. The second chapter itself, which is replete with random traps, was pretty memorable. Having a giant axe come out of nowhere and nearly cut your nose off, is an entirely different feeling in VR. Enemies will respond accordingly to you. Some will just rush you if you try to spam your crossbow (best weapon IMO), and others will dodge or block your bolts. Others will throw feints with their shield at you, or react to feints you throw at them. Also there is a specific enemy type that just literally creeps me the f out, and I try to stay as far away as possible from. The alchemy power ups are varied and pretty useful. If you are stuck in a difficult spot, they might save you a lot of re-tries.. Looks OK, sure have seen those zombies before perhaps in Brookhaven experiment. Game looks nice. Main issue was the locomotion method. Very odd whereby a pointless animation of your avatar is played walking to where you point, then you teleport there. Absolutley no idea what this is supposed to achieve other than slowing the framerate by adding a useless asset and animation plus it gets in the way of where you want to point lol. Would much prefer just teleporting or trackpad locomotion tbh.Sound glitched out halfway through, so the monsters weren't making any noises although the menu was still making it's clicks.. in every area i could complain there is also a pro the walking speed real slow to me yet its speed feels right for combat so your not just moving back and forward as a defense. it would be great if u slowed down with weapons out and sped up withought. the combat feels almost there id like if velocity mattered more in your attack and defence and the animations are slow slow and unresponsive to types of hits for the most part. and its just stuff like that everythings just almost there however i do notice that most of the reviews i read are not helpful at all since almost everything i read has been worked on which is the reason i am happy with my purchase and am excited to see how they get this in the end. Graphics are beautifully executed, but teleporting around is very slow. Movement seems almost laggy and sluggish which is the opposite of what you need when fighting enemies. The inventory interface isn't exactly straightforward. I'm going to persist, rather than request a refund only because the environments are so well done... Do I recommend it? I guess so?*later* Very frustrating game. Difficult to interact with the interface to change weapon during a battle and good luck trying to pick a sword up of the ground - IMPOSSIBLE! And then they disappear because you can't make it happen... Do I recommend it? No. Needs work.. *Update - No signs of updates in the last 9 months... Decent game for 2016... But outdated now...I purchased for the beauty, but it lacks finesse. I would understand if it was early access, but it isn't. Debating if I should request a refund... 20 minutes in and I don't really want to play any further. I'll probably hang on to it hoping it will improve, since it was on sale.Recommendations:Haptic Feedback on interactions\\collision with walls, enemies and items...Proper orientation from controllers to hands, weapons, shields, other items... (My in-game hands are not in the orientation of my hands on the controller, The sword is twisted weird and it feels like I'm gripping the shield's arm strap instead of the handle. In game menu system needs improvement, maybe quick item options. I have to press 6 buttons or more to re-equip sword and shield.Improve Story line, I'm not quire sure what was going on, not enough substance for me to care...Fighting was bland, I felt like i was fighting a gumba with a 2x4. (VR combat is tough to dev, I hope to see improvements!)I had high hopes, but at this point I can't recommend it. Gates Of Nowhere - Version 1.0.3B Patch: Loading issue fixed on start apllication.. Gates Of Nowhere - Version 1.0.1 released: Hi guys thanks for your suggestions and feedback. We released the first Minor release which will patch some issues. Below you can find a detailed description:- We changed the teleportation system to a more standard look. We removed the Avatar completely. Instead we added a runic circle that will serve as the teleport target. The teleport has a maximum range of a few meters. Moreover we added a cooldown (a charging timer). Both these changes are needed for major gameplay features to work and can't be removed. Please keep giving us feedback on this.- The Torch will now have a reduced light when it overlapses with objects, along with a vibration feedback and deactivated shadows. This is to improve the visual impact when the light enters an object. - You may now calibrate the Brightness of the game. We added the option to open or close the camera lens, giving you freedom to have the dungeon look brighter than before. - We slightly changed the damage you do to enemies and the threshold of the movement required to deal it. You now need to hit harder to do more damage and very slow and short strikes will NOT be read as damage at all. This is just a quick fix to a small problem, a major overhaul of the combat system will come soon.- Various BugfixesWe really hope that you'll enjoy the game, and keep talking with us in order to improve the experience. Thanks another time for your great support.
